I am basic knowledge and would like to be able to create and understand more scripts. As the title states its really more of a "How To" book than a "How it works" nevertheless well worth at least considering. Lastly while I never bought it simply because when I needed this book it wasn't around for people starting out you should look at. I think the Getting Started Guide from the V1 Documention Pack is worth reading as a basic primer, and lays the basic groundwork for syntax, operators and primitives.
